Our average Twin Cities highs temperature is 83 degrees this time of year. We could hit 90 degrees in the metro area Saturday afternoon. 

Highs in the lower 90s are forecast for southern Minnesota on Saturday, with 80s in most of central and northern Minnesota:

Saturday dew points will be in the steamy 70s in most areas:

Saturday afternoon will be breezy, with wind gusts over 20 mph:

Plotted gusts are in knots, with 18 knots equal to about 21 mph. Much higher gusts can be expected near any thunderstorms that develop.

Sunday highs will reach 90 degrees in the Twin Cities metro area and to the south and east, with mostly 80s elsewhere:

Sunday dew points will remain in the 70s in central and southern Minnesota plus western Wisconsin, with 60s elsewhere:

The best chance of rain early Saturday morning appears to be in western Minnesota, with rain chances spreading eastward later in the morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible anywhere in Minnesota and western Wisconsin Saturday afternoon and evening. 

Stay sky aware this weekend, since some severe weather warnings are possible. One forecast model keeps Sunday thunderstorm chances mainly in the southeastern half of Minnesota plus western Wisconsin. That could change.
