Isolated showers early and late Tuesday; comfortable temps all week

An atmospheric wrinkle triggered scattered showers that tracked southeast down the Interstate 94 corridor and across the Twin Cities early on Tuesday. More recently, scattered showers have developed in the southeast and southwest corners of the state.

Mostly lovely Tuesday

The morning showers will clear out, clouds will part and Tuesday will be quite pleasant. Look for high temperatures from the mid-70s up north to the low and mid-80s across the south. The Twin Cities should warm to about 84 with a light breeze becoming northwest.

The chances of afternoon showers as the day heats up will probably be restricted to far southern Minnesota and maybe the Arrowhead.

Seasonal temperatures to continue

A rather benign weather pattern should continue to give us highs mainly in the 70s up north and low to mid-80s in the south right through the weekend.

Weekend possibilities

The next round of showers and scattered thunderstorms might track in from the Dakotas on Saturday. Timing is quite uncertain at this early date, however.
