Comfortable Saturday temps; scattered showers/t-storms at times

No long-lasting rains

August is here! Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 83 degrees on August 1. We’ll top out in the lower 80s in the metro area Saturday afternoon, and we’ll share those lower 80s with most of southeastern Minnesota and much of western Wisconsin:

There’ll be a few mid 80s in far southeastern Minnesota. Western and northern Minnesota will top out in the 70s.

Dew points will be summery, but not steamy:

Rain and thunder chances

Scattered showers with a few embedded thunderstorms are possible this Saturday and Saturday night.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s High Resolution Rapid-Refresh (HRRR) forecast model shows the potential rain pattern Saturday through Saturday evening:

Pay more attention to the scattered nature of the rain than to the exact location of the rain at any given time.
