Granite Falls, Renville and Sacred Heart in Renville county were among the locations that saw some severe weather Saturday afternoon. Here are the preliminary damage reports listed by the National Weather Service:
Times listed are in Universal Time, which is 5 hours ahead of CDT. For example, 18:57 is 1:57 p.m. CDT. The NWS reported that the storms downed some power lines in Granite Falls and Sacred Heart Minnesota Saturday afternoon. Additional storm damage reports can be found here.
Areas of showers and thunderstorms will continue to move across parts of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Saturday evening and overnight Saturday night. A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible, and some areas may see heavy rain.

Sunday will feature summery temps and dew points in the 70s in most areas.
Sunday highs are mostly in the 80s:
Parts of northeastern Minnesota will have Sunday highs in the 70s.
Sunday dew points will be in the steamy 70s in most areas, with 60s in far northern Minnesota:
Sunday thunderstorms
Minnesota and western Wisconsin can expect some periods of scattered thunderstorms Sunday and Sunday evening. A few of those thunderstorms could linger into the overnight hours of Sunday night.
Some strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Sunday into Sunday night. The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center shows a slight risk of severe weather (shaded yellow) for much of Minnesota and Wisconsin Sunday and Sunday night:

The Storm Prediction Center will update the Sunday severe weather outlook late Saturday night and several times on Sunday.
Temperature trends
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach 80 on Monday, followed by lower 80s Tuesday and mid 80s Wednesday through Friday.
Temperatures may be a bit above normal next weekend into the start oif the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a tendency for above-normal temps in Minnesota and western Wisconsin from August 14 through August 18:
