Many steps needed for accurate COVID-19 test results

Testing machines manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific during a coronavirus briefing at the White House in Washington. In August 2020, the Food and Drug Administration flagged two separate issues that could result in faulty results with the Thermo Fisher TaqPath test. The first problem has to do with inadequate processing with equipment that mechanically mixes patient samples them with testing chemicals before they can be developed.
