Warmer weather for Tuesday

Rain possible in northern Minnesota

Minnesota sees another comfortable and mostly quiet day, with only isolated chances for showers or storms in the northern part of the state.

Tuesday’s Forecast

Under clear skies overnight, most of the state is starting off in the 50s Tuesday morning, with a few 40s in central northeastern Minnesota. Although that’s a few degrees below average, by afternoon, most of the state is slightly above average and in the 80s, with 70s in the Arrowhead.

As the high pressure that has been keeping our weather quiet slides east, spotty chances for precipitation return. Northern Minnesota sees isolated chances for a few showers or storms beginning Tuesday afternoon and through the evening, but rain should stay predominantly light, and no severe weather is likely.

The rest of the state remains dry and sees mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
A few more showers and storms are possible, especially late in the week.  That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
