Temperatures stay above average all of Thursday, with more showers and storms moving across northern Minnesota.
Thursday’s forecast
The state is starting off very warm Thursday, with most temperatures in the 60s and only a few 50s. Highs will also be at least 5 to 10 degrees above average, with the majority of the state in the 80s, and a few 90s in western Minnesota.
Humidity has also crept higher, meaning portions of southern Minnesota could see the heat index top 90 in the afternoon.
Along with the heat, most of the state, including the Twin Cities, sees another dry and sunny day.

Due to instability, minor disturbances have been moving through northern Minnesota bringing occasional wet weather across that part of the state. That pattern continues Thursday, including an area of showers and storms moving into the Arrowhead as of 7 a.m.
Isolated severe weather is possible as storms move across northern Minnesota.
Widespread showers and storms spread throughout Minnesota Friday as low pressure moves over the state. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
