It’ll be another steamy afternoon. Sunday afternoon highs will be well into the 80s in most areas, with some lower 90s in southwestern Minnesota. Northeastern Minnesota will be cooler, with highs in the 70s. Dew points across much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s. A dip in a pool or a lake will feel great this afternoon.
Thunderstorm chances
An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible in west-central Wisconsin late Sunday morning and early Sunday afternoon. Far northeastern Minnesota may also see a stray shower.
Northwestern Minnesota could see some scattered thunderstorms later Sunday afternoon, with the scattered thunderstorms spreading across far northern Minnesota Sunday evening. An isolated t-storm will be possible elsewhere in Minnesota and western Wisconsin Sunday evening. Roughly the northern half of Minnesota, plus northwestern Wisconsin, will have the best chance of scattered thunderstorms overnight Sunday night.

A stray shower or thunderstorm may drift down into the northern part of the Twin Cities metro area late Sunday night or early Monday morning, but the better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the metro area will tend to be late Monday afternoon and Monday evening.

Monday highs will be very warm from central and southern Minnesota into Wisconsin:

Back to high temperatures, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach 90 on Tuesday, followed by lower 90s Wednesday, then mid 80s Thursday and around 80 on Friday.
Two hurricanes this week?
Two hurricanes may make landfall along the Louisiana coast this coming week.
According to the NWS National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Marco was centered 325 miles south-southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River Sunday morning. Marco is forecast to become a hurricane today and it could make landfall on Monday along the Louisiana coast:
The cone surrounding the forecast track indicates the uncertainty in the forecast track of Marco’s center.
Hurricane warnings have been issued along portions of the Louisiana and Mississippi coasts.
Tropical Storm Laura was centered 70 miles northwest of Port Au Prince, Haiti Sunday morning. Laura is forecast to become a hurricane before making landfall Wednesday PM somewhere along the Louisiana or Texas coast:
