Sunshine and breezy conditions prevail throughout Minnesota Wednesday, with showers moving in late for the northern edge of the state.
Wednesday’s forecast
Wednesday is starting seasonable under dry skies and temperatures mostly in the 50s, with a few 40s near the Canadian border.
While morning winds have not been as strong, it will be breezy again during the day, with gusts over 20 and 30 mph, especially in western Minnesota and the Arrowhead.
That wind flow, which is ahead of the next cold front, will help warm southern Minnesota into the 80s, and the state sees widespread sunshine throughout the day.

The cold front moves across the state overnight, bringing northern Minnesota a few showers and storms starting late Wednesday evening.

Behind it, cooler and windier conditions dominate Thursday’s forecast. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
