Our Twin Cities high temp was 78 degrees last Saturday. We topped out at a summery 83 degrees on Sunday. Temps this coming weekend won’t reach those marks, but they will be an improvement over our current chilly temps.
Weekend high temps and dew points
Our average Twin Cities high temp on Sept. 12 is 73 degrees. We’re shooting for metro area highs in the upper 60s this Saturday, with highs in the 60s expected over most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin:
Saturday dew points will be mainly in the 50s, with some lower 60s southeast:
Sunday highs will be in the lower 70s in the metro area. The northern half of Minnesota can expect Sunday highs in the 60s, with 70s over southern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin:

Sunday dew points are expected to dip into the 40s in northern Minnesota, with 50s south.
Saturday rain chances
Showers and a few embedded thunderstorms will spread into Minnesota and western Wisconsin Friday afternoon and evening and continue Friday night and into Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon the highest rain chances are expected to be over northern Minnesota, with a scattered shower/thunderstorm possible in the south.
