The weekend starts rainy, ends warmer

Most of Minnesota sees highs in the 60s again Friday

After a sunny start, rain spreads across Minnesota Friday and lingers into Saturday. By Sunday, and through the first half of next week, more sunshine and warmer weather prevail.

Friday started with lows predominantly in the 30s from the Arrowhead into central Minnesota and 40s west and south.
Most of the state can expect highs in the 60s again Friday, although southern Minnesota may see a few more 50s, because that is the one part of the state starting cloudier and there will be less sunshine to help warm temperatures.

Another round of rain

Those clouds in southern Minnesota spread north through the day as the next weather system approaches.
Into the afternoon, cloudy skies make it through central Minnesota, with rain across the southern edge of the state.  By late Friday, clouds, showers and a few storms extend throughout the state.

Much of Minnesota continues to see rain on Saturday as the precipitation slowly clears out.  Rain will likely be lightest in the northwestern corner of the state.  Otherwise, much of Minnesota can expect a half inch to an inch of rain through Saturday even, with isolated higher totals.

It still looks like the second half of next week could turn cooler again, so enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather while we have it!
