Our average Oct. 10 high is 61 degrees in the Twin Cities metro area. We’ll top out in the low- to-mid 60s this Saturday afternoon. Highs today are expected to range from the lower 50s in northeastern Minnesota to the upper 60s in the southwest:

A few spots in the far southwest may touch 70.
Most areas will see plenty of sunshine.
Winds will be fairly light, with afternoon gusts in the 8-14 mph range:

Fall colors

We’re seeing some vibrant fall colors in the Twin Cities metro area right now. Weekend leaf-peeping will be good across much of southern Minnesota and parts of central Minnesota, with spottier fall colors to the north. Here’s the latest fall color report from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources:

Keep in mind that all deciduous trees are included in the fall color report, not just maples.
