Behind a cold front, rain is moving out of the state, but cooler weather remains.
Monday’s forecast
As of 7 a.m., a cold front that moved across Minnesota has moved east of the state for all but the Arrowhead. Behind it, rain has already cleared out of western Minnesota, and will continue to move out for most of the state by midday.
Minnesota has been very dry since September, so this was a needed, soaking rain in many places, with a number of locations seeing over an inch of rain.
Behind the storm, winds stay breezy Monday, but skies clear, with most of the state seeing sunshine by afternoon.

Morning temperatures are in the 40s and low 50s, which is mild for October, then highs will be in the 50s north and 60s south.
This is seasonable for this time of year, but noticeably lower than recent temperatures.
Temperatures plunge even more the second half of the week. That forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
