Strongest winds shift east, cold Sunday
Peak winds from Saturday night were impressive
It’s a good thing that we went back to standard time last night. The extra hour of potential sleep helped make up for the times that strong winds rattled the windows and woke us up.
Peak wind gusts included 56 mph at Holman Field Airport in St. Paul:
Strong winds will continue in northeastern and southeastern Minnesota plus western Wisconsin, where wind advisories continue this morning:
Wind advisories in southeastern Minnesota and in St. Louis County of northeastern Minnesota end at 9 a.m. today, wind advisories in Lake and Cook counties of northeastern Minnesota continue until noon. Wind advisories in western Wisconsin continue until 2 p.m. this Sunday.
