Breezy Saturday with afternoon showers; mix of rain/snow north

Accumulating snow northeastern Minnesota Saturday night

Saturday morning will be dry in most areas, with a shower chance in southeastern Minnesota by late morning.

The shower chance expands to cover much of the southern half of Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin Saturday afternoon, with a rain/snow mix possible to the north. That mix transitions to light snow Saturday evening. The areas with afternoon rain showers (including the metro) could see a changeover to a rain/snow mix Saturday evening, then to all snow for awhile before it tapers off later Saturday evening. A few flurries are possible on Sunday.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern Saturday through Sunday:

Temps and winds

Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 42 degrees on Nov. 14. Most spots in the metro area will top out in the upper 30s to around 40 this Saturday.

Much of Minnesota will have Saturday highs in the 30s, with some lower 40s in far southern Minnesota plus parts of western Wisconsin:
