After Monday’s light snow, the week stays relatively dry. Temperatures turn mild in the middle of the week, with highs in the 40s and 50s.
Monday’s forecast
Monday started off with temperatures in the teens and single digits north and 20s for most of central and southern Minnesota.
The colder than average lows north were because a cold front is stretched across central Minnesota as of Monday morning, and northern Minnesota is already seeing the cooler air associated with it.
It will also cause a noticeable temperature contrast in the highs Monday, with the northern edge of the state below average in the 20s, while southern Minnesota is more seasonable in the 40s.

The front is also moving light snow across a wide section of central Minnesota, particularly in the morning hours, including for the Twin Cities.
The snow keeps heading east and clears out by late afternoon. Little accumulation is expected, with most places seeing less than 1 inch.
Mild weather returns
The cold front completely clears through the state by Monday evening, bringing below-average temperatures to all of Minnesota Tuesday. Highs will range from the 20s north to 30s south, under sunny skies.
By Wednesday, temperatures rebound and shoot slightly above average, thanks to breezy winds from the southwest, funneling in milder air.
Both Wednesday and Thursday, highs across the state will be mostly in the 40s, with a few 50s south under dry skies.

Extended forecast
After a fairly quiet week, spotty rain and snow chances return through the weekend, although the current pattern looks like most of the precipitation may only clip southern Minnesota.

Forecast temperatures Friday through the weekend look seasonable for mid-November, which ranges from low 30s north to near 40 in southern Minnesota.
