Wasn’t that Saturday sunshine great?
The Saturday high temperature at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 50 degrees. That was 16 degrees warmer than our average Nov. 28 Twin Cities high temp. Blaine and South St. Paul reported 52 degrees around mid-afternoon on Saturday. A few spots in west-central and southwestern Minnesota reached the upper 50s.

A cold front will swing through Minnesota overnight Saturday night, and Sunday highs will be mainly in the 30s:

Northwestern and north-central Minnesota may see Sunday highs in the 20s.
Winds will pick up on Sunday, gusting to 25-35 mph in many areas:
Plotted values are in knots, with 27 knots equal to around 31 mph and 31 knots equal to 36 mph. Parts of southwestern Minnesota could see gusts close to 40 mph at times.
Saturday night and Sunday snow chances north
There’s a chance of scattered light snow showers in far northern Minnesota after midnight Saturday night and also during Sunday morning. Parts of northeastern Minnesota could see scattered flakes linger into Sunday afternoon.

Temperature trends
I’ll first mention that no big storms are expected in Minnesota or western Wisconsin this coming week.
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to be around 30 on Monday, followed by mid 30s Tuesday through Thursday and upper 30s on Friday.
Temps may rebound by next weekend and stay milder than normal the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a good chance of above-normal temperatures in Minnesota and western Wisconsin from Dec. 6 through Dec. 12:
November was much cooler and snowier last year
The average Twin Cities temp for November 2019 was 2.9 degrees cooler than normal. MSP airport tallied 14.3 inches of snow. The warmest high temp during all of November 2019 was 46 degrees.
November 2020 is running 4.8 degrees warmer than normal in the Twin Cities, and our snow total is 8.8 inches so far. We’ve tallied 11 days this November with highs warmer than 46 degrees, including five days with highs in the 70s and two days with highs in the 60s!
