A cold front moving across Minnesota drops temperatures slightly, while skies remain dry.
Friday’s forecast
Despite a cold front that has already moved into northern Minnesota as of Friday morning, and will continue through the state by afternoon, temperatures are still above average for December.
Morning lows are in the teens north and 20s for the rest of the state.
Afternoon highs will range from 20s north to a few 40s in western Minnesota, which is up to 10 degrees cooler than Thursday, especially for the northern edge of the state.

As an indication of how mild Minnesota has been, even with the temperature drop, the entire state is still above average.
The front also keeps a few clouds across the state, but there will also be plenty of sunshine as well.
Another disturbance moves through Minnesota Saturday, bringing a chance for flurries. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
