How does it feel to be above-average?
Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 30 degrees on Dec. 5. We’re shooting for metro area highs in the upper 30s this Saturday. Highs in the 30s are expected across most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin this afternoon. Parts of west-central and southwestern Minnesota will reach the 40s. Winds will be light in most areas, but far western Minnesota could see a few gusts in the 15-20 mph range.
Flake chance?
Spotty light snow showers or flurries are possible this morning in far northern Minnesota. The flake chance expands into portions of central Minnesota plus western Wisconsin this Saturday afternoon, then southward this evening. There could be some sprinkles mixed with those spotty light snow showers/flurries this afternoon. Our chance of flurries, light snow showers/sprinkles in the Twin Cities metro area is expected to hold off until after around 4 p.m., then that chance continues into early evening.
