Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 26 degrees this time of year. The metro area will see highs in the upper 30s today. Minnesota and western Wisconsin highs will be mainly in the 30s this Sunday afternoon, with some 20s in parts of northeastern and north-central Minnesota and 40s in portions of southwestern Minnesota:

Sunday afternoon wind gusts are expected to be in the 12-20 mph range:

Snow or mix chances
An approaching low pressure system will bring a chance of rain showers and snow showers to northwestern and west-central Minnesota by late Sunday afternoon. Snow coverage then expands to cover much of northern, central and eastern Minnesota plus western Wisconsin Sunday evening and Sunday night. The snow will probably linger into Monday morning in northeastern Minnesota and parts of northwestern Wisconsin.

You can see that the Twin Cities metro area is in the “less than one inch” category. Snow amounts will vary along the southern edge of the precipitation, where rain may mix with the snow at times.
