When you think of January in Minnesota, arctic chill and snow might come to mind. January has been pretty tame so far, other than some episodes of dense fog.
Areas of fog and freezing fog are possible in portions of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Sunday night and early Monday morning. In addition to that, northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin will have a chance of occasional light snow showers and patchy freezing drizzle Sunday night and early Monday morning.
You can hear updated weather information for Minnesota and western Wisconsin on the MPR network, and you’ll see updated weather info on the MPR News live weather blog.

Southwestern Minnesota may see the most sunshine Monday afternoon.
Monday afternoon wind gusts will be in the 12-18 mph range in much of central and southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin:

Plotted winds are in knots, with 12 knots equal to around 14 mph.
Back to temperatures, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid 30s on Tuesday, followed by upper 30s Wednesday, mid 30s Thursday and upper 20s on Friday.
I don’t see any big storms this week, but we could see some rain showers or snow showers in the metro area on Thursday, followed by a flurry chance Friday morning. Check forecast updates.
