A little more sunshine Friday

Slow morning travel with areas of fog and flurries

Temperatures continue their slow warmup on Friday, and the state sees a bit more sunshine.

Friday’s weather

With more of Minnesota seeing breaks of clear skies overnight, temperatures are chilly again Friday morning, with negative teens north to single digits south. This is about 10 to 15 degrees below average, but still an improvement from the brutal cold of just a few days ago.

There are also areas of fog, especially in central Minnesota that will lift through the morning.

While there are still a couple areas of isolated flurries Friday morning, that light snow chance will be much more sparse and instead more of the state sees sunshine again Friday.
That sunshine helps highs rise a couple more degrees, ranging from the midteens to low 20s.

The entire state can expect to rise another 20 degrees by Monday. That extended forecast, which also includes a chance for weekend snow, will be updated by 9 a.m.
