The weather stays pleasant Monday with warm and less windy conditions.
Monday’s forecast
The state is starting off very mild Monday morning, with temperatures from the mid-20s to upper 30s. Those temperatures are closer to average highs for this time of year versus morning lows.
A weak cold front that passed through the state overnight will drop highs just a couple degrees from Sunday’s warmth. Afternoon temperatures range from the upper 40s north to lower 60s south, which is still 20 degrees above average for most of the state.
This is warm enough to possibly set records in places like Moorhead, where the current record high for March 8 is 54.
Winds are also expected to be lighter Monday, and mostly sunny skies prevail.
Tuesday turns even warmer again, with more record highs likely before a storm brings cooler weather Wednesday. That extended forecast will be updated by 9 a.m.
