We had soaking rains Tuesday and Wednesday, and there’ll be some additional rain Friday P.M. into Saturday.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern for Friday evening through Saturday afternoon:
The steadiest Saturday rains in the Twin Cities metro area will be during the morning hours, with occasional afternoon showers also possible. Parts of north-central and northeastern Minnesota will see some snow on Saturday, with some areas of freezing rain also possible.

Weekend temps and winds
Our average March 27 high temperature is 47 degrees in the Twin Cities. Metro area highs will creep into the lower 50s Saturday afternoon. Southern Minnesota will also see Saturday highs in the lower 50s, with 40s in northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin:
Winds will pick up Saturday afternoon, with gusts of 14-23 mph in many areas:
Plotted gusts are in knots, with 18 knots equal to about 21 mph.
Sunday highs will be in the 50s in southern and central Minnesota, with 40s to the north:
Sunday winds will be fairly light.
