Showers had already moved into portions of southwestern and west-central Minnesota early Sunday morning. The showers are expected to spread to the east and northeast today. There could also be a few thunderstorms developing from southern Minnesota into the Twin Cities metro area and portions of Wisconsin later Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening.

Sunday highs are forecast to reach the 70s in many areas, with a few lower 80s possible in far southeastern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin:
Many spots in northeastern Minnesota will have highs in the 60s, with 50s near Lake Superior.
