A 2-year-old girl who went missing with her 26-year-old sister has been found in New York state.
Minneapolis police on Tuesday morning asked the public to be on the lookout for the pair, saying that they'd disappeared Monday afternoon and may be headed to Massachusetts.
New York state police found the older woman's vehicle and pulled it over Tuesday morning and found the toddler safe, said John Elder, the Minneapolis police spokesperson. The parents, he added, were “very relieved.”
The 26-year-old is in custody and the case will be forwarded to the Hennepin County Attorney's Office for potential criminal charges, he added.
