Our average Twin Cities high temperature on May 22 is 71 degrees. We’ll be way above average this Saturday, with much of the metro area topping out around 90. There will be a lot of highs in the 80s elsewhere in Minnesota and western Wisconsin: 

Highs in the 70s and upper 60s are on tap for far northwestern Minnesota and some spots near Lake Superior.  

Saturday dew points will be in the sticky 60s in most areas:

Sunday high temperatures will range from 60s in northern Minnesota to the lower 80s in the far south: 

There’ll be some 50s in northeastern Minnesota.

Sunday dew points will range from the comfortable 40s in far northern Minnesota to the sticky 60s in the south:

Northern Minnesota could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. Some periods of showers and thunderstorms are possible across all of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Saturday night and Sunday.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential rain pattern Saturday afternoon through Sunday afternoon:

Pay more attention to the general rain depiction (north Saturday afternoon, then more areas Saturday night and Sunday) than the exact location of the rain.
