Memorial Day weekend can bring quite a variety of weather to Minnesota. It can be very chilly or downright summery.
The Minnesota State Climatology Office posted an interesting look at Memorial Day weekend weather extremes. They included this look at our Twin Cities weather extremes over the past 50 years:
I’ve highlighted the 2018 entries, when we had a high of 94 in the Twin Cities on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and a high of 100 on Memorial Day. By the way, our Sunday high was 91 degrees in the Twin Cities that weekend. I’ll bet that ice cream sales were brisk during that 2018 Memorial Day weekend!

After highs in the 60s across most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin this Saturday, we’ll see 70s northwest and mainly 60s southeast for Sunday highs:
There’ll be some 50s along the North Shore of Lake Superior.
Sunday afternoon wind gusts will be in the 14-20 mph range in many areas:
Plotted gusts are in knots, with 16 knots equal to 18.4 mph.

Rain chances?
Western Minnesota could see some scattered showers Saturday afternoon and evening. The rain shower chance spreads into eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin after sunset.
Scattered showers are possible anywhere in Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Sunday. There could also be an isolated thunderstorm late Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential rain pattern for Sunday and Sunday evening:
On Memorial Day, there is a chance of a shower or isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon or evening.
