Weekend forecast: Less humid; warm Saturday, hot Sunday
Dry weekend in most locations
I’ll get to the weekend forecast shortly. First, I should mention that there are some scattered thunderstorms in parts of eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin around midday this Friday.
There were some severe weather reports in Goodhue County, Minn. and Pierce County, Wisc. around midday:
The gust of 65 knots at Red Wind Wing airport at 11:56 a.m. was equal to around 75 mph.
Additional scattered thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and evening as well, especially in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction center shows a marginal risk of severe weather today and tonight (shaded dark green) from southeastern Minnesota into Wisconsin:
Marginal risk means that an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible.
Weekend temps and dew points
Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 78 degrees this time of year. The metro area will top out in the mid to upper 80s on Saturday. Highs will be in the 80s across most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin Saturday afternoon:
There’ll be some 70s in northeastern Minnesota.
Saturday afternoon dew points will be in the comfortable 40s in most areas:
Sunday highs reach the 90s across much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin:
Far northern Minnesota will have Sunday highs in the 80s.
Sunday afternoon dew points will be in the 50s:
Saturday and Sunday look rain-free in most areas.
