Saturday morning in Duluth

There is plenty of sunshine from Two Harbors to Duluth this Saturday morning….perfect weather for Grandma’s Marathon.

Temps are in the 50s as the race starts, and highs today only reach the upper 60s in many spots up along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Duluth could top out in the lower 70s.

Saturday highs reach the 70s in much of northern Minnesota, with 80s in central and southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin:

Winds will be light in most areas, but could gust to 12-16 mph in western Minnesota:

Forecast gusts are in knots, with 10 knots equal to 11.5 mph.

We’re not expecting rain during the daylight hours of Saturday, but some showers and thunderstorms could move in overnight Saturday night. Periods of rain and thunder are a good bet on Sunday. More on that in the Updraft update around 10:20 a.m. today.
