Much like the weekend, Monday brings another day of unsettled weather to Minnesota, with scattered showers and storms.
Monday’s forecast
The same pattern that brought occasional showers and storms across Minnesota over the weekend stays in place Monday, bringing more chances for needed rain.
The state is already starting Monday with a few showers in north-central Minnesota, and more activity develops during the day, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours.
Rain totals will be hit and miss, with most places under a quarter inch and higher amounts in areas that fall right under thunderstorms.
Much of the state started Monday seasonable, in the 50s and 60s. Highs also remain relatively close to average, with upper 70s to mid-80s putting temperatures just a couple degrees above average.
Tuesday also remains more active, then the hot and dry weather returns for the holiday weekend. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
