Sunday looks dry, but our Saturday weather is a bit unsettled.

There could be some scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm on Saturday, mainly in west-central Minnesota and southern Minnesota. One forecast model also shows a Saturday shower chance in the Twin Cities metro area.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential rain pattern from Saturday morning through Saturday evening:

NOAA’s High-Resolution Rapid-Refresh (HRRR) forecast model is more enthusiastic about Saturday rain chances in west-central and southern Minnesota:

Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 84 degrees on July 10. We’ll see metro area highs around 80 this Saturday. Northern Minnesota will see a lot of 80s. There will be some 70s in northeastern Minnesota and southern Minnesota:

Saturday dew points will be mainly in the comfortable 50s, with some stickier 60s in parts of southern Minnesota:

Back to forecast highs, most spots will top out in the 80s on Sunday:

A few locations in northwestern Minnesota could touch 90 degrees.
