Minnesota sees a sunny and hazy Friday

Minnesota gets yet another warm, dry and hazy day Friday, with part of the state nudging closer to the 90s again.
Friday’s forecast
Under the influence of high pressure just to the east of Minnesota, the state is starting off Friday with light winds and clear skies. Morning lows are seasonable in the 50s and 60s, with a couple 40s in the Arrowhead.
There are still issues with smoke from the fires in Canada, and all of northern Minnesota is in an air quality alert until at least 9 a.m. Some areas may see that extended.
However, around the high pressure, most of Minnesota starts seeing a more southerly wind flow during the day Friday. This should prevent as much smoke from coming into the state, although it remains hazy throughout the day.

Those southerly winds turn gusty for northwestern Minnesota by the afternoon, making that our warmest part of the state Friday with temperatures near 90.
The rest of the state stays in the mid- and lower 80s under plentiful sunshine.
Dry and even hotter weather persists through the weekend and most of next week.
