High pressure is giving Minnesota an almost fall-like feel Friday with sunny skies, low humidity and cool morning temperatures.
Friday’s weather

An area of high pressure is sitting directly over Minnesota as of Friday morning, bringing clear skies and light winds.
Under those conditions, temperatures dropped overnight, and Friday is starting cool for mid-August. Northern Minnesota is mostly in the 40s, with a few 30s in the Arrowhead, and southern Minnesota is predominantly in the 50s.
Those temperatures are about 5 to 10 degrees below average for this time of year.

Highs will also run slightly cooler than normal, with most of Minnesota seeing highs in the 70s, and a few 60s north.

Humidity stays very low through the day and a breeze picks up in the afternoon. Under sunny skies, Friday should be a comfortable day to be outside.
Warmer weather and more humidity return over the weekend, and needed rain looks promising late next week.
That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
