Friday’s rain will be replaced by an area of drizzle and fog across much of Minnesota by the afternoon.
Friday’s forecast
The storm that has moved showers and occasional storms across the state since Thursday is still bringing light to moderate rain in eastern Minnesota as of 7 a.m.
Rain will continue to move east and clear out by the afternoon.
Behind the rain, an area of fog and drizzle is likely that could linger into the overnight.

The clouds overnight kept temperatures slightly above average, with 50s and low 60s to start Friday.
However, the lingering cloud cover means temperatures rise little, with most of the state in the 60s for highs.
Northwestern Minnesota may finally see a little sunshine by afternoon, so that is the one spot that may get a couple 70s.
Drier weather returns by Saturday, and weekend rain chances are limited for the holiday weekend.
