We’ve enjoyed plenty of sunshine the past two days. The high temp at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 78 degrees on Sunday, matching our Saturday high temp. Parts of the Twin Cities metro area could touch 80 degrees Monday afternoon.
Rain chances?
Parts of northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin will see scattered showers Sunday evening. An isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out.
Labor Day looks dry in most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin through the afternoon hours. An approaching cold front is expected to ignite some scattered showers and thunderstorms Monday evening in the northern third or so of Minnesota. The chance of showers/t-storms could expand into parts of central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin overnight Monday night. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms could linger into early Tuesday morning.

Temperature trends
Highs in the 80s are a good bet in roughly the western half of Minnesota on Labor Day, with mainly 70s elsewhere:
As mentioned earlier, some spots in the metro area could touch 80 Monday afternoon. Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 77 degrees this time of year.
Monday dew points will be mainly in the comfortable 40s and 50s:
A few spots in western Minnesota could see dew points in the sticky 60s by late afternoon.
Back to high temperatures, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid 70s Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, followed by upper 70s on Friday.
We could see above-normal high temps next weekend and into the following week. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a tendency for above-normal temps in Minnesota and western Wisconsin from Sept. 11 through Sept. 15:
