After a short work week, it’s time to get ready for the weekend. The weather will cooperate with most of our outdoor plans this weekend.

Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 75 degrees on Sept. 11. We could top 80 degrees in the metro area this Saturday afternoon. Saturday highs will range from 60s in northwestern Minnesota to 80s in the far south:

Saturday dew points will be in the comfortable 40s and 50s in northern and central Minnesota, with stickier 60s in the south:

Sunday highs will be in the 60s north, with 70s south:

Sunday dew points will be in the comfortable 40s and 50s:

Most areas won’t see any rain this weekend. Those spots that do see a bit of rain will also have many dry hours. 

Northern Minnesota and parts of northwestern Wisconsin could see some scattered showers at times Saturday afternoon and evening. One forecast model shows a chance of scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm in southern Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin Saturday night and early Sunday. A few scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm will be possible in far southern Minnesota Sunday afternoon.
