Feels-like-fall Saturday; summerlike Sunday and next week

Saturday morning was on the cool side. The Twin Cities’ low temperature of 44 was our coolest reading so far this season. Many spots outside the metro area fell into the upper 30s.

Then cloud cover from the northwest slowed our warmup until the sun reappeared and the afternoon became delightful across most of the state.

Summerlike temperatures begin on Sunday

A strong surge of warm air from the southwest will heat us nicely on Sunday and then hang around. Sunday’s high temperatures should range from the low 70s in the northeast to the low and mid 80s in south central to southwestern Minnesota.

The Twin Cities should have Sunday morning low temperatures around 53 and afternoon highs close to 80 with some high clouds. Wind will be light from the south.

Continued warm and dry through midweek

Temperatures will remain summerlike from Monday through midweek. Wednesday looks like it might be the warmest day of the upcoming week.
