Less fog Wednesday, but more clouds

Winds from the southeast helped keep denser areas of fog from forming for much of Minnesota Wednesday morning, but that same flow does bring in a few more clouds.
Wednesday’s forecast
The recent pattern of high pressure dominating Minnesota’s forecast is starting to shift, and with winds now from the southeast, there is already less fog across Minnesota Wednesday morning.
Fog is still present along much of eastern Minnesota, but in most places, visibility is not as low as Monday and Tuesday.
The only places still under a dense fog advisory Wednesday morning are near Lake Superior. That advisory goes until 10 a.m.

While there is less fog, the southeast wind flow does bring a bit more moisture across the state, so southern and eastern Minnesota can expect a few more clouds Wednesday.
The state started mild again, with 40s and 50s, and highs will also be above average for October. Most of Minnesota is forecast to have highs in the 70s again, and under more abundant sunshine, the western edge of the state could once again see a couple 80s.
Rain chances return Thursday, and next week starts off cooler.
