Under the influence of high pressure and a southerly wind flow, Minnesota sees another quiet day with warming temperatures.
Thursday’s forecast
Following another night of mostly clear skies, most of Minnesota is starting the day in the 20s again, with a few low 30s around the Twin Cities.

On Wednesday, winds switched to a more southerly flow, and winds continue to be predominantly from the south on Thursday on the backside of an area of high pressure.
That mild wind flow continues to slowly warm the state, with temperatures nudging up a couple degrees from Thursday and more of southern and western Minnesota back into the 50s for highs.

Portions of southern and western Minnesota are starting the day with fog that lifts through the morning. In the southwestern corner of the state, fog is thick enough in some spots for a dense fog advisory to be in effect until 10 a.m.
Otherwise, under the influence of high pressure, skies remain dry and mostly sunny, with just a few more clouds through the day in southern Minnesota.
Temperatures warm even more as we head into the weekend, with a few 60s possible.
That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
