Saturday was sun-splashed and gorgeous.
The Saturday high at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 67 degrees. Our average Twin Cities high temp is 47 degrees this time of year. Much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin saw Saturday highs in the 60s, with some spots in southwestern and south-central Minnesota topping 70 degrees.
Sunday will be unusually warm too, with highs mainly in the 60s south and 50s north:
A few spots in the southwest could top 70.

Sunday wind gusts may reach 20 mph or higher in parts of southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin:
Forecast gusts are in knots, with 17 knots equal to 19.6 mph.
Temperature trends
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the upper 50s Monday, followed by lower 50s Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs retreat to the upper 40s Thursday and upper 30s on Friday. Along with the colder temps, Thursday and Friday will also be windy.
Rain and snow potential later next week
Several weather forecast models show a strong low pressure system moving across the upper Midwest from late Wednesday into early Friday. The precipitation from that system will probably start out as rain, then transition to wet snow at some point. Snow amounts will depend on the exact track, speed and strength of the low pressure system.

You’ll want to turn clocks (those that don’t automatically adjust) back one hour before you go to sleep Saturday night.
