A breezy Sunday; light snow possible in northern Minnesota

Our average Dec. 18 Twin Cities high temp is 28 degrees. Metro area highs will be slightly above 30 this Sunday. Lower 30s are on tap for southern Minnesota, with mainly 20s elsewhere:

Winds increase as we go through Sunday, with gusts of 24 to 32 mph in many areas Sunday afternoon:

Forecast gusts are in knots, with 24 knots equal to 27.6 mph. Some spots in southwestern Minnesota may see gusts close to 40 mph.

Light snow chances north

Northwestern Minnesota could see scattered light snow showers this morning. All of far northern Minnesota will have a chance of light snow showers this afternoon and evening.
