The Sunday afternoon high temp at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 6 degrees above zero. Our average Twin Cities high temp is 24 degrees this time of year. Much of northern Minnesota stayed below zero Sunday afternoon.

Low temps late Sunday night and early Monday morning are forecast to reach the 20s below zero in roughly the northern half of Minnesota, with teens below and single-digits below zero to the south. Twin Cities metro area lows may dip to about -10 near the downtown areas to -15 or so in the outer suburbs.

That’s an impressive recovery from the arctic cold of Monday!

Twin Cities metro area highs hit around 30 degrees on Tuesday, followed by mid 30s Wednesday and Thursday, then lower 30s Friday. There’s a chance of snow Thursday night and Friday; check forecast updates.

The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a tendency for near-normal temperatures next weekend into the beginning of the following week:
