Skies are clear again Friday morning after a fresh round of snow Thursday. We saw about 1 to 2 inches for most places from the Twin Cities into southeastern Minnesota.

It’s a cold morning again for most early Friday with southeastern Minnesota remaining above zero, but it’s very frigid again in northeastern Minnesota where lows are again in the 30s below zero.

High temperatures Friday afternoon will again be well below normal, primarily in the teens with some spots in the north remaining in the single digits.

Overnight Friday into Saturday, we’ll see fewer subzero readings as warmer air starts to move in for the weekend.

Highs Saturday will be near normal or slightly above with 30s in the south and 20s in the north and with sunshine.

Sunday will be slightly cooler but still seasonable.

Next week overall still looks milder, with highs near or above normal through the week and just a chance of light snow on Tuesday.
