It’s another mild start but not quite warm enough to be above freezing.
Watch for not only areas that are refrozen, but also some slick spots on untreated surfaces as a result of a wintry mix of light freezing rain/snow showers early Wednesday morning. Any snowfall accumulations will be light and scattered through central Minnesota into western Wisconsin.
High temperatures again Wednesday afternoon will be above freezing in the south, in the 30s to near 40, and in the 20s north.
Wednesday night into early Thursday will be a little colder behind Wednesday’s clipper system.
We’re still watching the system for Friday night into Saturday that will be packed with moisture but also quite a lot of warmer air. We’ll likely see a mix of rain, sleet and snow in southeastern Minnesota with heavy snow potential north.
