Another mild day Wednesday; cooler Thursday

Get ready to enjoy another very mild day Wednesday. It’s already a mild start. Most of the state is above freezing early Wednesday morning. Highs will be well into the 50s with more widespread 60s in southern Minnesota in the afternoon.

A cool front will be moving across the state increasing cloud cover and also touching off a few possible sprinkles this afternoon.

Behind the front temperatures will still be above normal, but cooler compared to Tuesday and Wednesday’s highs. Overnight lows Wednesday night will still be rather mild, however. Most notable, northern Minnesota will be back below freezing.

Thursday will bring temperatures mainly in the 30s north, 40s for most and still some 50s in the south.

Beyond that, temperatures remain in the 40s again Friday but are back in the 50s Saturday with another chance at 60 Sunday in the Twin Cities. Other than a sprinkle or two late Wednesday, we’re mainly dry until early next week.
