Cooler, yet still above normal Thursday; beautiful weekend ahead

Northern Minnesota is back below freezing, putting a temporary halt to melting. Temps are milder in southern Minnesota but overall, everyone is cooler.

Highs will be in the 40s and 50s in southern Minnesota and 30s to the north with a mix of clouds and sunshine across the state.

While southern Minnesota kept the thaw going for the past nearly 48 hours, consecutively. Most will drop below freezing Thursday night into early Friday.

Highs Friday will be very similar, still above normal, but certainly cooler than Tuesday and Wednesday were.

Things are warming back up and brightening up for the weekend. Expect highs back in the 50s and 60s for southern Minnesota and 40s and 50s to the north. We’ll need to keep an eye on the next storm system for early next week as it will bring some rain shower and, perhaps, snow to northern Minnesota.
