Rain and snow showers north return Tuesday, starting off a few days of wet, windy weather and below-normal temperatures.
The first wave of moisture is moving in Tuesday morning from the west. The rain will mix with snow in northern Minnesota.

Portions of northern Minnesota will see snowfall Tuesday into Tuesday night.

Liquid equivalent precipitation amounts will range from two-tenths to six-tenths of an inch across much of east-central and northeastern Minnesota into Wisconsin.

In addition to the rain, winds will be 10-25 mph with gusts over 40 mph in some spots.

More moisture will wrap in around the slowly moving, upper-level low for later Wednesday into Thursday bringing a mix of rain and snow farther south as well.
