A system will brush southern Minnesota with a few showers Thursday. Temperatures will be back well into the 50s and 60s. Warmer temps are ahead for Saturday.
Showers for far southern Minnesota
There will be a little less sunshine Thursday for the southern half of Minnesota as a storm system to our south grazes the southern part of the state. Northern Minnesota will continue to be fairly bright.

High temperatures will actually be warmer in northern Minnesota due to them having more sun than the south.

Rainfall amounts Thursday into Friday will be light even in southern Minnesota and really be confined to the southernmost counties.

Nice Saturday then summer weather next week
Saturday is shaping up to be the nicest weekend day we’ve probably had this spring so far. Highs will be near 70 in the south and well into the 60s across the rest of the state with sunshine.

Mother’s day brings a chance of a few showers and thunderstorms, especially west.

After that, I hope you enjoyed our five days of spring, summer is setting in for next week with highs in the 70s, 80s, and even a shot at 90 along with humidity and the risk of severe weather Monday.
