Some spots could top 90 on Memorial Day
Clouds are lingering Thursday but you will see some sun in the the coming days. A mix of sun and clouds is on tap for the holiday weekend.
We all know that the Memorial Day weekend can be summery or chilly. This will be one of those summery Memorial Day weekends.

There’ll be some 60s near Lake Superior.
Sunday afternoon dew points will be a bit sticky, in the 60s, in central and southern Minnesota plus western Wisconsin:
I say sticky with dew points in the 60s, but of course many people like the summery feel of those dew points in the 60s with temps in the 80s.
Memorial Day highs reach the 80s in many areas. Some spots in the Twin Cities metro area and to the south and east could top 90 degrees:
Northwestern Minnesota and areas near Lake Superior will see mainly 70s.
Thunderstorm chances
The atmosphere will be a bit unsettled this weekend, with scattered thunderstorms possible. In eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin, thunderstorm chances look highest in the morning and in the evening/overnight hours each day.
Western Minnesota chances appear to be more evenly spread through the weekend. You can expect many more rain-free minutes than rainy minutes this weekend.

There’s a marginal risk of severe weather (shaded darker-green) across much of the remainder of Minnesota and into western Wisconsin.
Slight risk means that scattered severe thunderstorms are possible; marginal risk means that an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible:
The severe weather risk expands a bit eastward on Sunday, according to the Storm Prediction Center. Updated severe weather outlooks will be posted over the next few days.
